I didn't like the auto tune, rap parts or the Ray Charles impersonation...SHM
Other than that it was cool...

You know what, I can't try to be nice, it was horrible. They had so much talent in the building and some of the people they used was a bad call. There were many people missing not to mention Janet Jackson herself. Yeah she appeared via an edited in performance, but that came off as being tacky. If they were going to remake history they should have made sure that ish was together, including having Janet physically in the house. .
Jennifer Hudson was a good and obvious choice, and she rocked the parts the she sang. MaryMary did their thing, though I feel like they were given too many add lips towards the end.
Mary J did her thing as usual, and could have gotten more. But then we cut to damn Miley singing, and now I'm like WTF??? Going down hill...
And Nicole Scherzinger is featured a lot through out the song, like really??? Going down...
Musiq Soulchild, just to name one person off the top of my head that was their that should have done it over her any day. Going down faster...
I don't really want to talk about it, but I must.
What was Wycelf doing??? He sounded like a dieing jungle animal.
That being said, knowing I'd rather say something positive cuz he's Haiti represent, but I can't.
And the random auto tune solos were not even laughable because they so should have been left out. And did Jamie really do a Ray Charles impersonation?
I gonna stop...
But it was for a good cause so...

We Are The World For Haiti Tonight

Tonight the We Are The World remake video will debut during the open ceremonies of the Olympic games. I"ve also been told that the video was shot in 3D and with green-screen technology. The latter will eventually allow viewers to place themselves in the throngs of celebs during the chorus.

Beyonce The Face Of "Fashion For Haiti"

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has named Beyoncé as the official face of their limited-edition “Fashion For Haiti” T-shirt. The charitable tee features black and lime green graphics designed by Peter Arnell, who also created the CFDA’s iconic “Fashion for America” mended heart T-shirt that raised $2 million dollars following 9/11 for the Twin Towers Fund. As the spokesperson for “Fashion For Haiti,” Beyoncé has a message for all fashionistas: “Join me and the fashion industry by buying and wearing the Fashion for Haiti T-shirt. Together we can send a message of hope by raising much needed funds for the people of Haiti.” In addition to Beyoncé, fashion designers like Diane von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Tommy Hilfiger and more are rallying to promote the $25 knit. The CFDA will donate the net proceeds from each T-shirt to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. Look for the tee to hit shops and e-boutiques on February 16. "We Are The World" Without Lady Gaga

It was rumored that Lady Gaga would later submit her voval construbtion the the 2010 remake of "We Are The World" it has being revealed that she will in fact not be involed. She had this to say:

"I've actually been in rehearsal for my new tour, but I was never supposed to do 'We Are the World.' So that's a rumor," Lady Gaga told "Access Hollywood." "I believe that they may have asked, yes, about it, but I was unable to do it."

But Gaga is quick to point out that just because she didn't get involved with "We Are the World" doesn't mean she hasn't done her part for the nation. "I've been working on my own charity projects for Haiti," she explained. "We've raised over half a million dollars for Haiti already and we like to work specifically with charities that are based in Haiti itself."

Chris Brown Performance For SOS Help For Haiti...

At first, he sounded like his nerves had gotten to him, tho I can 't blame him. It was really the first time since the incident that he has been in front of such a large mainstream audience. This was like a Grammy type audience, think about it. You got fan and a room full of his peers. He's been onstage at his "Fan Appreciation Tour", but if your not a youtube watcher or a fan you wouldn't know. He also was on "The Wendy Williams Show". No shade indented but, not a lot of people tune into her show. Not to mention the people in the arena. They were now faced with the fact that Chris Brown was now a surprise performance. It's not like they could have gotten up and left ; it was for Haiti mind you.
Overall I enjoyed it, tho the clearly were shaky moments when he loss his vocal footing, but then again it's been a while.

A video has surface on youtube of behind the scene footage of the making of "We Are The World" 2010. This is something I am really looking forward to. Their are some people that are missing from the bunch that is killing me but I won't mention their names. It's said they may be sending in their vocal parts later to be mixed in, like Janet will be doing when she sings her brother's part.

“Everybody Hurts" For Haiti Relief

Simon Cowell recently put together a song to benefit the Haiti relief effort and the finished product hit radio airwaves in the U.K. this morning. The track is a cover of R.E.M’s “Everybody Hurts” and features vocals from Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey, Susan Boyle, Mika, Rod Stewart, etc. The charity song will be available for download on Sunday February 7th and hits stores the following day.
