Ciara News

Ciara is gearing up to take the radio airwaves by storm with her new Ludacris assisted track, "Ride", another song from the entertainer has surfaced. Similar to "Ride", "Speechless" was written and produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart. Ciara’s yet-untitled LP hits stores hits stores later this year.



While by no means a Ciara fan I'm kinda feelin the track itself and if done by some young lady that can sing and bring the song to life that would be real Hollywood. Be that as it may, it's still Hollywood. Not feeling that fact that The Dream sounds like R Kelly tho...

They were also spotted at the Hawks vs Pistons game in Atlanta. Cute shoes Ci, they are the new Mickey Mouse themed kicks and are apart of Adidas’ latest ‘Originals’ range – which the 24 year old is the spokes-model for.
Her team really do not appear to be playing with her forthcoming album. A previously reported, the singer shot the video for the album's lead single "Ride"; The Tricky Stewart/The-Dream crafted track features Ludacris and serves as the first single from her upcoming album.

Kelis Does Promo Shoot

Check out the new Hollywood promotional picture for Kelis forthcoming album "Fleshtones". The "I Hate You So Much Right Now" singer has received a glowing endorsement from Black Eyed Peas front-man Will.i.am, who also signed her to his Will.i.Am Music Group imprint over at Interscope.
Speaking to VIBE and he said had this to say:

“Kelis has always been a best kept secret. The cool people know Kelis. But the majority of people just know ‘Milkshake.’ If Kelis were fashion she would be a girl’s favorite pair of shoes or a coat…high fashion. I would like Kelis to show she’s an international sensation. She can be big. A lot of people think big is being on the radio or that being big is having a show in London, France and sometimes Japan. But that ain’t international…that’s just three countries. The Black Eyed Peas are big; the Black Eyed Peas are international. I think Kelis can be that big. As big as the Peas.

Her new single "Acapella" is not the business is not that bad of a song, and could grow on me easily, though I haven't heard it in the club yet. Which is a good and bad thing. The fact that I haven't heard it speaks volumes of it's popularity. However sometime a song that does nothing on the radio can translate in the club and take on a whole new life. And I'm sure if I heard it drunk in the club, I'd love it.

I'm feeling the weirdness of the picture, and let me tell you why. What Kelis did back in the day was weird, however now years later Rihanna seems to be doing the same thing and it seems edgy and high fashion. And now Kelis is gonna hopefully do it again. And working with Will can't hurt at all...

Female model, lips slightly parted, her head at eye-level to a male model’s crotch, the man’s hand on the back of her head. The message was clear: Man buys jeans, man gets lucky.
This ad was not just explicit, it was demeaning to women. After public pressure, billboard owner CBS Outdoor removed it yesterday. In its place is another, more civilized ad for the same clothing company, rapper T.I.’s Akoo line.
T.I. is hardly the first rap artist to expand on his fame by branching out with a hip-hop clothing line, or the first to use sexy advertisements to sell his products. The advertisements, like the music, too often treat women as nothing more than sexual props.
Racy fashion ads are nothing new, but it’s one thing to run them inside magazines, another to place them inescapably in the view of every man, woman and child walking through a major downtown intersection. The people of Newark deserve more respect.

There’s drama on the Lil Kim fan front. The folks over at LilKimFanZone–who tell us they’ve been going hard for Kim for 15 years and have been supporting her via their site for a long time–are officially done with their idol.
It all started when the head honchos at the Fan site reached out to Kim’s assistant because of Kimmy’s recent bleached appearance and weird actions. The fans believe Kim is being brainwashed by the people around her. Then the fans got insulted and blasted by Kim’s assistant and crew.

Here’s the email we received:

We all know recently Lil Kim (or Ho Chi Min as you call her lol) has been wearing terrible make up and making bad career choices. So just recently (2-27-10) the fans spoke out on twitter to her assistant and new right-hand man football player Bryant Mckinnie. And they LASHED out at the entire Lil Kim Zone Forum. LilKimZone.Net is the bases of Kim’s hard core fans. We’re not some new fans. We have been holding her down for at least 15 years, and this is the thanks we get? We only expressed how we feel that Kim is the being misled to think she looks ok and it needs to stop. Not only did they get defensive but they got racial, and homophobic.
I send you this email because this needs to be exposed, Kim needs help, this could be the beginning to her intervention. We as the fans honestly believe she is being brain washed, and that she is surrounded by YES men. We dont want her to end up like Michael Jackson or Anna Nicole Smith, because we are lead to believe drugs are involved.

Kim’s former assistant/cousin Sherlish Tweeted about the drama and blasted the new team. She said she left that “sinking ship” herself because Kim would rather believe the YES people around her instead of the people who love her. It’s getting to be a dangerous situation.
We’ve seen how situations like Kim’s can turn out. This could be only the beginning of the drama…
