LA Ried...Sorry Your Out?

Rumors are flying that by the end of the year, Chairman and CEO of Island Def Jam Music Group LA Reid whose is responsible for signing and helping bring Mariah Carey, Avril Lavigne,Toni Braxton, TLC, Usher, Ciara, OutKast, Dido, Kerli and Pink will be out of a job. Can't say why now, but when it happens then I can report it, cuz it will be news(and not a rumor). But after he ruined Arista Records, you can probably guess.

You ain't heard that from me tho.

Diva Show Down: The Results Are In

So the numbers are in kids. Gather 'round and be quiet as I read Them to you. Someone that everyone knew was gonna win did win the special #1 spot. Does anyone know who that is...Ok I'll stop talking like a kindergarten teacher LOL.

Britain's Got Talent's Susan Boyle was the lucky lady that garnered the #1 spot this week. Proving the early estimates were correct, she sold ova 670k of her debut album "I Dream A Dream".
Even though he had an much complained about performance at the AMAs (which I did post here), even that couldn't stop him from gathering some pretty good numbers for his level of American Idol fame. Adam Lambert's "For Your Entertainment" came in at #3 with 198k sold.
I think there is at lease one person singing "Gaga, Oh La La", and with 144k people sing the same, that's a good thing. Lady Gaga clocks in at 144k sold placing the "Bad Romance" singer's album "The Fame Monster"at #7 on the charts.
While Shakira disappoints with the #15 spot with only 89k.
With all the controversy and drama following this girl, this can't be good news for the "Hard" singer. Rihanna's "Rated R" placed at #5 with a disappointing 180k sold. I could go on forever about why but you already know. (maybe in another post)SMH

"Congrats" and "Sorrys" and around to those who deserve.

What Do You Think? Whose If Any Album Did You Buy?

State Senator, Nina Turner of Ohio, As Aunt Jemima

A cartoon depicting State Senator, Nina Turner of Ohio, which is insultingly Aunt Jemima-like has gotten Cleveland’s black newspaper the Call & Post in hot water. The move comes after Turner became the only Black elected official to support the controversial county government reform.

Makes me mad to have to post this ...Just thought you'd want to know.

Rihanna: Oh That's Why They Call Her A "Part-Time Role Model"

Via PerezHilton

In a new radio interview, singer Rihanna revealed that the leak of her nude photographs was "the worst thing that could possibly ever happen" to her!

But as for the photos and who they were for, she defended taking the pictures saying that they were "hot" and "if you don't send your boyfriend naked pictures, then I feel bad for him."

RiRi, you saucy minx!

But she does seem to regret the pHOtos circling the Internets in May, just a few months after being assaulted by now ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

Rihanna reveals:

"I just felt like my whole privacy was taken before that and then, when that came out, I thought, 'oh great, so now there's nothing they don't know about me and my private life. It was humiliating and it was embarrassing - especially my mum having to see that. It was two days before Mother's Day, so I was nervous.

"I sent her flowers first before I called and then she texted me - when the world is against me she's always there supporting. If it's wrong, she will still let me know but she wouldn't come down on me like, 'oh my God, what were you thinking?'"

Oh That's Why They Call Her A "Part-Time Role Model"

Says Sorry, Your No Diva (Side-Eye)

Kate Garraway The reporter that put Mariah Carey on blast for her diva deman was (forced) ask to apologize by her bosses, Mariah was being a diva and she publicly called her on it.

Now this is her sorry:

'I am really sorry about the furore I caused last week after I wrote in this column about Mariah Carey's appearance on GMTV. Especially because I am told it has upset the star herself, which is the last thing I intended.

You will remember I said how nice Mariah was. Everyone at GMTV loved having her on and her performance, typically, blew us all away. But it was wrong for me to add some jokes and gossip about her being a diva. Her management have now told me that I got hold of the wrong end of the stick completely and I am still reeling from the massive ticking off my bosses gave me for fuelling the rumours that Mariah is unreasonably demanding.

Of course a star of Mariah's magnitude is bound to have a lot of people around her when she appears on a show like GMTV, especially as in this instance she also had a group of backing singers as well - no one would expect anything less. Let's face it - the world would be a much duller place without people like Mariah and it's only because they are such stars that we all love to gossip about them.

I am so sorry, Mariah, and I really hope that you come back to the UK soon"

She wasn't even in the GMTV studios when Mariah visited!!!

That's Subway's Jared Fogle?

Just a little something I read today that stuck out in my mind. Jared Fogle was spotted the other day at Miami Airport looking rather un-subway-food-like. He looked more like he's been visiting the McDonald's drive-thru regularly.

Not that that's a bad thing!!

Jennifer Lopez Saga Continues

Well here we go with a little update on what's going down with the Jennifer Lopez, Ojani Noa saga.
As it turns out your boy Noa was telling the truth about the "tape" not being a "sex" tape. As a matter of fact according to JLo's lawyer ,
"there wasn't anything close to sex"
in the tape. Which again, for her is a good thing. However she still doesn't want any kind of footage being released, which is her choice and right, and I don't blame her. I wouldn't let someone profit off me.
John Lavely (her lawyer)went on to explain, it's
"still private and personal to my client"

The saga continues, more Hollywood info when I get it.

Crackdown On Facebook and MySpace Predators

ALBANY - In a major crackdown on Internet predators, more than 3,500 convicted New York sex fiends have been booted from two online social networking sites, sources told the Daily News.

The pervs were kicked off Facebook and MySpace in the first sweep of registered sex offenders under the Electronic Security and Targeting of Online Predators Act (e-STOP), a 2008 law Attorney General Andrew Cuomo aggressively pushed.

"This should really be a wake up call for everybody, whether it's parents watching what their kids do online, and all the law enforcement groups and authorities, and the sites themselves," one source familiar of the mass Facebook and MySpace purges said.

Laura Ahearn, executive director of Parents for Megan's Law and the Crime Victims Center, said the fact thousands of offenders were dumped proves the law is working.

The names of those booted have been sent to the state Division of Parole, which will determine if any of the offenders violated their early release provisions by being on the social networking sites, the sources said.

Out of the nearly 30,000 registered sex offenders in the state, 8,106 have supplied their e-mail addresses and other online information, the state Division of Criminal Justice Services said.

The rest either are back in prison, homeless, don't have computer access, or didn't respond, a DCJS spokesman said.

Sex offenders have 10 days to notify the state after creating new online profiles or face prosecution for a new felony.

Cuomo's office wouldn't comment yesterday, but last year, after the legislation was signed into law, Cuomo noted that "the playground of today is not just on the streetcorner . . . the playground of today is cyberspace."

GOOD!!!
