I Gotta Quit

Were I live cigarettes are $9 and about to go up. I remember when they were like $3 a pack. Those were the days when if you didn't have money for cigarettes you could look around your house, in sofa cushions and find enough money for some smokes. Try that now, you betta have a few dollars to start off with or your out of luck. Damn I'm smoking a cigg right now. But I'll tell you one thing, I'm getting tired of paying out my pocket for theses stupid things. Then people stop buying them and start asking for yours. "Do you got an extra cigarette?" I just tell them No, I didn't get any extra in my pack.

Maybe my new years resolution will be to quit again. Funny thing is I quit a lot at night and forget by the morning time, gonig the whole day before I remember that I supposedly quit. LOL.

Make Me...Janet Jackson Official Video

Here is the video for Janet Jackson’s new single "Make Me", the lead single from her "Number Ones" compilation (in stores now), premiered on ABC’s 20/20.

My first thought was, well Beyonce must have really started something with this white back drop set up. (yeah I know she wasn't the first, but "Single Ladies" makes it stick out in your mind forever) I've seen a lot of that lately(Chris Brown's "Transform Ya", Omarion's "Get It In").
But overall I liked it. Janet looked flawless from head to toe, hair make-up, everything. And dare I say she looked younger too. The costumes were nice as well, though could have given more, but the shoulder pads were a cool, futuristic touch. Halfway threw I felt as if I was waiting for her to really dance, a dance break or something, but that never came. maybe next time.

So all and all, I enjoyed it, I do want to be blown away by your next video though, come just a little harder, like only you can.

New Beyonce Album In 2010...

Queen Beyonce is set to launch another assault on the charts in 2010 again with the release her 4th solo album. During her ‘I Am…’ tour’s final show in the UK (at Nottingham’s Trent FM Arena), Beyonce comfirmed:

“… I’ll see you in a year with a new album”

This comes as producer and hitmaker Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins, recently posted on his Twitter:

“Yes Get Back out Here!! I mean in 1 month U write for Janet, then Jlo and then leave!! C’mon we got Beyoncé to do!!!”

If your a stan your probably as happy as can Bee...If not...well your probably saying "sit down and have some babies" the again that line gets old too.

I see you Bee. I can't blame her though. I much as I talk junk about her, she on top so why stop now. She's only getting betta and betta, and she truly love what she does, so why not. Beyonce also recently interviewed with The Observer’s Caspar Llewellyn Smith where she had this to say regarding the direction of her next studio project.

Is there anyone left you’d still like to record with?

Oh, where do I begin? There’s so many people I’d like to work with still, but I’d like to maybe go outside of the box. My sister [Solange] has put me on to bands like [indie group] Of Montreal and some other different types of artists. I would love to do something like that on my next album.

New Music From Kelis..."Acapella"

Careful Rihanna, the woman you stole your fashion swag from is back. I'm just saying.
Kelis is back with a new joint called "Acapella". The track is more for dance heads than anything eles. Her core hip hop fans will have to wait for something they can bump to. I could hear it bump hard in a dance club though. It's produced by David Guetta,(the guy from Kelly Rowland's "When Love Takes Over")and will be featured on her fifth studio album, due out early next year. Other production include Burnz, DJ Ammo, Boys Noize, Diplo and Switch, and Free School.

Usher Album Getting The Push Back Treatment

Even though it has happen many times already, Usher’s new album "Raymond vs Raymond" is getting the push back treatment. Can't say I'm surprised though. Ever since he got with his ex-wife he seemed to loose his swag. "Love In The Club" was great and bumped in the club and radio for a mintune. However "Moving Mountains" was not what people wanted to her from him as a single, it was a hot song do't get me wrong.
Usher's label has announced that the record will not be hitting stores on December 21st as previously announced. In fact, there is now no release date set for the project, which was proceeded by the single "Papers" (currently #2 on the Billboard R&B Chart). "Papers" is an OK track, it just seems like the same old same old for Usher.

a rep for the singer told MTV:

“We believe that the album is so strong that we want to give it the opportunity to have the proper setup before coming out,”


I hope he doesn't plan on going the "Confession" route again and by that I mean exposing all the personal details of his broken marriage for the sake of a album storyline and album sales. I remember laughing with a friend about how funny this would be if his whole marriage was faked for story lines LOL. He did it with "Papers" thought he won't admit to it. Just sayin.

Just bring solid music Usher and do it now, cuz their are dudes comfortably filling your void. Can't hold the crown on memorizes.

Alicia Keys - Empire State of Mind (Part II)

Here is ‘Empire State of Mind (Part 2)’ the studio track, which will be featured on Alicia Keys new album. I heard the live version she did on iheart radio which was great. "Element of Freedom" hits stores on December 15th.
I like this. I can see this going up the charts.

Sidebar: Did you hear Mashonda is about to release a diss track against Alica for stealing her husband Swizz Beats from her...They say her(Alicia) song and video for "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart" was a stab at her as well as an attempt to salvage Alicia's good girl image. If you ask Billboard, Rihanna’s so-called comeback album ‘Rated R’ is only set to sell a measly 162,000 copies in its first week on shelves. Her label has set up a deal to even sell the Rihanna's latest LP for $3.99 n Amazon, and even rumored to go on a super sale on black Friday for $0.99 to ensure decent sale and to save face.

That can't be good news for the "Umbrella" singer. God know she has had it bad enough as of late. Check the blog comments and you'll see a sort of shift in support from Rihanna to Chris Brown.

Maybe it's karma for that 20/20 interview. The masses are feeling like you threw him under the bus. What he did was wrong, but really Rih?

Beyonce I Am Yours A Intimate Performance at Wynn Las Vegas aired on thanksgiving night on ABC, and say what you want about Mrs.Carter she can performance her but off. She keeps you entertained from start to finish. After seeing the spacial on TV I had to go out and get the DVD.
Glad I did

She does an acoustic version of some songs off I Am and the she goes into a storytelling of her career and it was great. And there is a in depth behind the scene footage that was interesting. Even if you don't like her you wouldn't be able to look away. She is an icon of our time.

But can I say one thing Bey...The make-up girl, the make-up...(which she did herself, don't believe me watch the behind the scenes footage)

So streets are a buzz about Mariah's diva behavior again. The host of a UK talk show is putting Mariah on front street about her out of hand diva demands. He says the most ridiculous thing is the fact that she "carries her own toilet tissue everywhere she goes." He was also a it more than surprised to see the array of Mariah’s assistants in the studio with their own "separate task". Guys in Mariah’s entourage to helpe her sit down on the sofa so she wouldn't crush her dress, while another stood guard beside the camera crew directing them hw to get the right angle of Mariah. Well I guess she deserves it, she worked hard to get where she is, although toilet paper...

Is Mariah Leaving Def Jam? UPDATED

A few of my sources are buzzing that Mariah Carey maybe itching to leave Def Jam. Some are saying it's because Def Jam put half the promotional power behind "Memoirs" than they did "Emancipation" and Mariah ain't happy. Leading some to link the lack of promotional picture to her unwillingness to do so. We all saw "Memoirs" didn't do what Def Jam would have hoped in first week sales, not to mention Mariah's shaky live performances as of late. You didn't hear it from me but, allegedly Mariah and LA Reid are at odds as well. Mariah was signed to Def Jam in 2002 for a min 3 albums(has she fulfilled that). ‘Memoirs…’ has thus far shipped an underwhelming 325,000 copies in the US.

Do you thing Mariah should move on?

AMAs Fashion Wrap Up

So My Winner on the night has to go to Rihanna. Almost all the women of the night looked gorgeous, but i have to give it to her. She wasn't flawless, the under-eye red make-up she had going on drove me crazy. The dress was a daring one that only she could pull off anyway and she paired it with the perfect shoe. Some said that the dress only looked good from certain angles, maybe they're just being haters..


Whitney Houston looked great in her performance dress. Her hair was fitting and her make-up was flawless. She even looked like she gain some weight. That should put the drug rumor to rest (for now),then again that will only create pregnancy rumors...Either way she looked great.


Keri Hilson was also in attendance, unfortunately for her her stylist must have suddenly quit, or was on vacation cuz Keri looked a mess. The outfit wasn't that bad, boring and flaw revealing but not that bad, but the hair and make-up looked like she was an extra for Rihanna's Disturbia video...sorry I'm just saying.

Alicia Keys looked glam as usual. The dress was creative, the hair was tight and make-up right. The only thing I would have changed was the shoes. Maybe a gold with feathery embellishment. But thats just me.




Mary looked fab...What more can I say.






Janet didn't walk the red carpet, and other than her MC Hammer pants she looked OK. She could have done betta, but I guess she gets a pass, why I don't know. I don't even want to know why she get a pass for lip sychin for 8 minutes.

D Woods former member of 2005 MTV reality television program Making the Band's Danity Kane has a new video out for her single "Legalize Me" I was always a fan of Danity Kane and was always pulling for them. But stuff happens and although they latest longer than most people thought the break up was inevitable. D Woods is doing her independent music thing as well as rumored movie roles. The "Crazy Blond" is still crazy, with her latest published pictures being of her wrapped in toilet paper and sitting on the john(side eye). While in my opinon the most talented of the girls, Dawn is now "Dancing With The Devil"

There are tons of those pictures. I grab boobies all the time, I’m obessesed. I don’t have much so anytime I see a good rack I’m like “wow, I wish mine looked and felt like that”. Women are beautiful. I’m not into them but they are hot.

On her nude photos leaking:

Which ones? The hot ones? They should be hot, they were for my boyfriend at the time. If you don’t send your boyfriend naked pictures then I feel bad for him. Trust me I was [freaked out], that was the worst thing that could possibly ever happen to me. I just feel like my privacy was taken before that and then when that came out I was like “Oh great! So, Now there is nothing they don’t know about my private life”. It was humiliating and embarrassing, especially my mom having to see that and it was two days before Mother’s Day so I was nervous…

On what people think about her:

I am misunderstood a lot at times. My music, my image. People have their whole thing about me. Whether it be me being a devil worshiper or whatever the hell. I’m just being me and I’m just making music the way I would without any influences. Just me and my personal life. I just said everything I wanted to say. I even cursed a few times.

On the flack from the Diane Sawyer Interview:

I expected that. It’s an obvious thing to do. They think that I have an agenda to destroy his career and that’s not what that interview was about for me. There are more creative ways to do that. That interview was solely about these young girls. Just inspiring them and being the voice for them and talking about my situation so that they can have something to hold on to. The hotline went up crazy because finally they had the courage to call the hotline and say “I’m going through this, I want to get out of this relationship”. I mean women who wanted to commit suicide so say what you want but we are saving lives here.

On taking responsibility for being in a dysfunctional relationship:

It was a learning experience for the both of us. There was a lot of insecurities and control issues but it was definitely a learning experience because in relationships in the future I know to watch out for certain things. A lot of those were signs. I learned that in the end. There were signs..

On being a role model:

What’s your definition of a role model? I represent a lot of things. I’m also realistic in the lifestyle. I’m not a saint and everyone knows that. I can only be myself. It’s nothing I want more than for everyone to be themselves. Another thing, for the past 8 months, everything I’ve been through, It’s led me to this whole “I don’t give an F” attitude because people say things all the time. Even when you try to please them, it’s something else so the only thing you can do is be you. They are always going to say something so all I can do is be me.

On Dating Tristan, Drake, Rasheed, & Andrew:

I don’t have [Tristan's] phone number. Give me someone that’s hot and older. Me and Drake are still friends actually. [We hung out] a few times but no, never. Rasheed Lewis. Never even met him but apparently I was trying to break up his family. Andrew Bynum, we went on two dates apparently. Never met him either. I’m actually not dating. I just flirt…

On her break up with Chris Brown:

It was difficult. It was a difficult process and a long one. Also my music helped me alot. Being in the studio was therapeutic. I got to vent. There was no cameras, there was no media. You don’t even realize when you are okay cause in your mind it’s just a fight non-stop with yourself trying to get through it and then one day you’ll see something and it doesn’t have the same effect on you as before, it’s like “wooooow”. I’ve gotten over it and now I’m free of that.

On why her hand was covering her eye on the album cover:

Because I am a devil worshiper what are you talking about (in a joking voice)

Although she contradicts herself(either your a role model like you stated in your 20/20 interview or tell all your young fans to send naked photos to their boyfriends)
at least she can take a joke about the devil worshiper thing.

Chris Brown Interview With ABC Confirmed

If you listen closely you can hear it. The rumblings of heated Chris Brown haters that is. It has been confirmed that your boy CBreezy's ABC interview with Robin Roberts will in fact be airing On December 11. It was taped last week and will air three days after the release of his latest album Graffiti. Not sure why there is no live performance to go along with this interview but whateva. Lets hope he talks about his music, the one thing he has over her right now.
