A few of my sources are buzzing that Mariah Carey maybe itching to leave Def Jam. Some are saying it's because Def Jam put half the promotional power behind "Memoirs" than they did "Emancipation" and Mariah ain't happy. Leading some to link the lack of promotional picture to her unwillingness to do so. We all saw "Memoirs" didn't do what Def Jam would have hoped in first week sales, not to mention Mariah's shaky live performances as of late. You didn't hear it from me but, allegedly Mariah and LA Reid are at odds as well. Mariah was signed to Def Jam in 2002 for a min 3 albums(has she fulfilled that). ‘Memoirs…’ has thus far shipped an underwhelming 325,000 copies in the US.
Do you thing Mariah should move on?

Mariah Carey’s ‘Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel’ remix album will be in stores in February 2010. The news was confirmed today by Mariah's manager Chris Lighty via his official twitter page.
