Chris Brown Performs For SOS
At first, he sounded like his nerves had gotten to him, tho I can 't blame him. It was really the first time since the incident that he has been in front of such a large mainstream audience. This was like a Grammy type audience, think about it. You got fan and a room full of his peers. He's been onstage at his "Fan Appreciation Tour", but if your not a youtube watcher or a fan you wouldn't know. He also was on "The Wendy Williams Show". No shade indented but, not a lot of people tune into her show. Not to mention the people in the arena. They were now faced with the fact that Chris Brown was now a surprise performance. It's not like they could have gotten up and left ; it was for Haiti mind you.
Overall I enjoyed it, tho the clearly were shaky moments when he loss his vocal footing, but then again it's been a while.

“Everybody Hurts" For Haiti Relief
Simon Cowell recently put together a song to benefit the Haiti relief effort and the finished product hit radio airwaves in the U.K. this morning. The track is a cover of R.E.M’s “Everybody Hurts” and features vocals from Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey, Susan Boyle, Mika, Rod Stewart, etc. The charity song will be available for download on Sunday February 7th and hits stores the following day. The Jackson Family Weren’t Invited to the Grammys?
Michael Jackson was posthumously awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award Sunday night (Jan 31) at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, and his children were there to accept it on his behalf. But his brother Randy claims that the Jackson family (minus the kids) weren’t invited to the ceremony to witness it.

New Music: Ludacris and Nicki Minaj
Ludacris teams up with the quickly advancing newcomer, Young Money signee Nicki Minaj for the track, “My Chick’s Bad.”
The new track, produced by The Legendary Traxster, is supposedly from Ludacris’s upcoming seventh project, Battle of the Sexes, which was originally supposed to be duo album with him and previous Disturbing Tha Peace signee, Shawnna. But it seems as though the direction of the project has changed after her departure from the label.
Battle of the Sexes, now led by the single, “How Low,” will now be a collaboration album with a flurry of cameos, including Ne-Yo, Trina, Monica, Flo-Rida, Ciara, Pharrell Williams, Trey Songz and Trina, to name a few.
Ludacris’s new album is scheduled to drop on March 9th.

Busta Rhymes expressed his overall reaction to being a part of bringing awareness to the current Haiti post-earthquake relief efforts by performing at last night's SOS Help for Haiti concert . It was very touching words and he had an old Haitian lady in the crowd which he spoke kindly of.
But at the end of his speach he leaded ing and kissed her!
I have not posted about it here cuz to me it's just a silly rumor.
But I couldn't help but think, as he leaded in, "oh God, don't he got...back UP lady"

Well at least she wears pants when she not performing cuz I was starting to worry. Pop sensation Lady GaGa has a well-earned rep for never wearing pants onstage or anywhere for that matter. The "Bad Romance" singer revealed to her little monster in an earlier interview with RollingStone, the real reason for her pants-less-ness.
But Gaga was spotted at a shopping mall in California today. The singer was accompanied by a friend and his baby as they made their way through the parking lot, and she wearing pants."My grandmother is basically blind, but she can make out the lighter parts, like my skin and hair," Lady GaGa — real name Joanne Germanotta — told Rolling Stone. "She says, 'I can see you, because you have no pants on'.
"So I'll continue to wear no pants so that my grandma can see me."

Alicia Keys And Beyonce Shoot In Brazil
It has been announced today that Alicia Keys and Beyonce (ain't she taking a break???) will be shooting their new video on February 9th. The video which will support the 3rd single from Keys’ ‘The Element of Freedom’ LP, ‘Put It In A Love Song’, will be shot in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I've been calling and calling around trying to find out what the concpt of the video will be, but no one is talking. I find out and let you know.
To date, ‘Put It In A Love Song’ has thus far peaked at #60 on the Hip-Hop/R&B charts.
Can't wait for the video tho.

Rihanna Superbowl Concert
Rihanna hit the stage yesterday evening with a performance at the Superbowl Fan Jam in Miami. Her energy was way up for this performance, but unfortunately for the "Umbrella" singer her vocals were horrible. But considering we don't expect to much from her vocally, it was a step up for her.
But I will have to say "Rude Boy" was a betta showing for her.
Her vocals seem to just flow on this song. Jeezy also made an appearance to help her perform "Hard" thier single off her latest album "Rated R" in stores now.
She was wearing a catsuit/leotard made by her stylists Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi paired with custom fishnet glasses By Kerin Rose..

Nicki Minaj And Robin Thicke
Nicki Minaj and Robin Thicke set The Late Show with Dave Letterman stage on fire. I don't even like the song too much, but Nicki does it for me. If your reading my blog right now you'll know, I'm checking for her right now.
But the second time I watched it I noticed Robin dancing. At 1:50 mark during the break down hommie was looking straight crazy.
But I can appreciate the fact that they clearly put in work for this performance. Most would have just walked back and forth sang and posed.

Who Is The King Of R&B???
As much as some may hate to admit it (including me) Beyonce is by far the Queen of R&B. Though there are a lot of female artist that have tried to come for her crown, only to look stupid in the process. Other than the fact that either she completely doesn't care or just ignores them, she truly is on a whole different level.
Ciara and Keri Hilson are two of many that have had there choice of word for the "Single Ladies" singer. But what made these two stand out is the fact that they both decided to make their words public; and going as far as spending the energy to record dis records.
And even as I type, I think to myself, many rappers have done the same, but for a female R&B artist to do so wasn't the best look for their careers. You may dislike or even hate her but it is what it is.
Which brings me to the point of this post. Usher in his "Yeah" days was no doubt the king of R&B. He had the dance move and singing ability, not to mention the sex appeal to raise above the rest. His relationship with Chille of TLC, only helped "Confession" become one of the best selling albums of all time.
But with his marriage to Tameeka Foster and his last album not performing well even with his fans, his swagga has seem to fade to say the least. Although I see what he was trying to do with his last album, I was not surprised that it couldn't accomplish the same.
We all know very well by now what Chris Brown's reason is for not being at the top of the line for the crown. His trouble doesn't at this point need to be repeated.
At first I felt, if he completely disappeared it would be okay for him. But he just started doing that with his noticeable absence from this years Grammys.
And there are other names such as Omarion and other I can't even remember which is not good for them.
UPDATED: I just thought of some, J Holiday, The Dream, Jamie Foxx,Tray Songz, Maxwell and Ray J).
And lastly we have Mario. He has had some really good albums in the past which I bought, but some reason his shine is always duller than the rest (tho I'm not sure why.) "Break Up" was a hot song, don't lie...
So my question to you is...Who IS The King Of R&B???

R&B star Monica’s new LP ‘Still Standing’ has officially been confirmed to hit stores on March 23rd, according to the singer’s official website. The creative process surrounding the album, the singer’s sixth, was documented on ratings winner ‘Still Standing’, which recently aired its last episode on BET.
As at writing, the album’s first single, the Missy Elliott produced ‘Everything To Me’, is performing particularly well – rocketing to #31 on the Billboard Hip-Hop/R&B Chart and enjoying increasing radio play.
